The great statesman of Middle Ages, great colonel, the founder of powerful, centralized state, the patron of science and culture Amir Temur the Great Taraghai Bahadir was born on the 9th of April in 1336, in the village of Khojailgar near Shahrisabz city, in the family of influential nobleman Amir Muhammad Taraghai Bahadir. There were three sons in Muhammad Taraghai’s family: Suyurghatmish, Olamshaykh, Joku and two daughters: Kutlug Turkon oka, Shirinbeka oka. Amir Temur the Great’s mother Tegina Mokh was Saddi-Sharia Ubaydullo Mahmud’s daughter of who had a high position of Islamic Sharia law in Bukhara. “Tegin” (“Takin”) in Turkish gives the meaning of aristocrat and valiant. Amir Muhammad Bahadir Taraghai was Amir Temur’s father who was the head of Barlos tribe and he was an important person of his time. His ancestors governed in Kesh region.

It is known that Amir Temur the Great's spent his childhood in an ancient Kesh. It was written in the source of history that Temurbek was educated in the teacher Mulla Alibek’s school which was situated in the village of Khojailgor. It was also mentioned in the source that Amir Temur was interested in getting knowledge and even could write both hands and was able to play with sword. Amir Temur the Great had perfectly learned riding on horse, hunting, shooting with the bow, other exercises, and military games with the special masters. That's why Amir Temur could select horses as a skillful horseman and grew up as a brave guy. Amir Temur was a person with naturally hard, gentle, deep thinking and sensible feelings, also he was very perceptive, could guess the ability, dignity, sincerity of people. Amir Temur the Great, as a politician, could see the further and he founded a great country which he governed his country with powerfully policy and justice.
